Exactly! All connections that go off the machine would have to be disconnected. Power cables, modem cables, network cables, USB, Firewire, everything! And it is best to move the equipment, power cords, etc a few feet away from any outlet. Lightning can easily jump from an outlet to a cord on the floor. Of course, with full backups available, UPS's on every machine (and the home entertainment system!), and good insurance coverage, I don't bother with any of that.
