I usually take the mouse ball right out and rub it with a cloth moist
from rubbing alcohol. You might also want to check the small rollers
the ball rubs against to move the pointer. Quite often there is a
build up of crud(?) that I remove with a toothpick, but be careful
not to let that Krud(?) fall into the mouse...Doug F
