Hi Elise
As someone who works in different character modes I'm pretty sure the 
problem is on the receiving end. A couple of questions:
Do the receivers have this problem with ALL their e-mail or only from 
your client?
In their receiving program (outlook, outlook express or whatever) have 
they gone to "view>character encoding and played around with the encodes?
A stupid question but do the receivers have Word? or the correct version 
of it. If for example they have Word 95 there may be the problem!
