[mso] exporting to server - importing to other laptop in outlook not working

I have tried doing this a dozen times and its not working.
I want to get email from one laptop to another (both outlook same version)
so i exported the pst file to the internal office server then wen to the
other lp and did an import ... to the email account (there are three set up)
i want it to go into .... sometimes it appears to 'show' .. but when its
finished there is nothing there...
what am i doing wrong... or what are the steps I should take to do this ..
which might be a better idea.
the logical process of it seems quite easy but its not working...
