I would assume that you login as administrator. Does this happen to you?

Subject: [mso] XP Windows & Office

Hi All
I'm sending this problem to the two forums mentioned in the title
because I'm not sure where the problem really lies. Hopefully someone
will help me set up Office XP correctly on Windows XP. Description of
the scenario:
I have some 40 computers at work ( school) which run Windows XP. The
number of (different) potential users for each computer is 1000 - the
number of pupils at the school. Rarely will pupils use the same computer
again. Each pupil has their own username and home file on the network.
This enables them to have access to their files from any computer in the
school. Now for the problem.
Whenever any pupil tries to access any of the office programs, the
computer starts off on a semi-installation process which usually ends
with asking the user (pupil) if their name is so and so. Only after
confirmation will they enter the chosen application. Occasionally they
are even asked for the Office disk! All in all a time wasting and
unnecessary process. I realize that this is because each user enters
Windows XP as a different user, but is there any way of configuring
Office XP not to do this. All the other programs I have don't do this.
All the programs including Office XP are installed locally.

TIA

Errol
