If you create a PDF file it will save in exactly the same layout as you have
when you create your labels in the first place. You should then be able to
copy and paste as normal. But I thought the purpose of the exercise was to
enable you to reproduce the full set of lables? If you are going to do
selective copy-pasting it will take you longer than a new mail merge I would
think!
