Don't know of a list, as most of it's pretty basic.
* You have your Paragraph Markers...which look like a writer's paragraph
mark
* You have Tabs...which look like an arrow before the text is pushed in.
* You have Page Breaks that say Page Breaks
* You have Section Breaks that say Section Breaks
* You have Column Breaks that say Column Breaks
* You have spaces, which are dots between words where spaces are
* You have tiny "Anchor" symbols next to frames that have been anchored to
the page or paragraph
* You have dots around the page, where the margins are
* I think the only MYSTERY symbol is the tiny square in the left margin,
which, when used, represents "keep with next" or "keep together" formatting
applied to that paragraph style. You'll see that when you use a HEADING
style, as headings must be keep with the next para text.

Does anybody know of a list of all the 'symbol's and their
functions/meanings that are revealed using the Show All button on word's
tool bar? Seems to me this would be an essential subject to have in the
F1 - Online Help files, however I haven't found it.
