No..it won't recognize the LAST slash....using your example, it will put
your files into four columns, if you use the slash as a delimiter...you will
end up with E: in the first cell, animap in the next cell, overlays in the
next cell, and Coovlayr.BMP in the last cell...then you could put the first
three back together using a concatanation formula...of course this won't
work if all of your paths are different lengths and have different amounts
of slashes.

C2 contains:

E:\animap\overlays\Coovlayr.BMP

Will the procedure you described locate the last slash "\" and separate them
into:
C2:
E:\animap\overlays\

D2
Coovlayr.BMP

?
