Sorry Rod...I didn't even know that the Office 97 eraser didn't work with
Windows XP, so I have no clue how else to completely remove Office 97

Tho I HAVE heard there are various issues running Office 97 on Windows XP,
so it's possible removing it and reloading it won't even help....may be time
to upgrade Office to 2000 at least (that's available at ebay pretty cheap)

You guys probly won't hear from me much more for a while....heading off on
vacation til Sept. 5 (but I'll be watching the group as close as I can)

Subject: [mso] Third Request for help-

History of problem-
Upgraded to Win XP Pro from 98SE this past Saturday.  I.E. 6.0; O.E. 6.0;
Word 97 from Office 97 Pro, all installed and working. Everything has been
sailing right along until this morning and now when I send any message,
using O.E., I get-
"The spell check on this document was halted. Do you want to send it
anyway?". Also when I try to check spelling on any word while in O.E. I
get- "An Error occured while the spelling was being checked.".
Also, now using Auto-Format causes Word 97 to crash.
SO-
I want to compltely remove Ofice 97 and reload it- I'll start over!
Is there a tool like "Office 97 Eraser" that will work with XP Pro. My
versions of Office 97 Eraser do not work with XP.
