I think this is beyond the capabilities of Excel. You might want to  consider 
transferring your entire database to Access (where, at its lowest level  of 
functionality, you can treat the data very much like a spreadsheet), because  
it has a LOT of flexibility in reporting, and can do exactly what you  describe.
