Hi Linda and all, As I have explained, I already use multiple profiles. I also use many (about 8) address books. The problem is that I use many custom "categories" and they are all stored in the one-and-only category list available in Outlook. I probably have over 50 custom categories. I would like to not have to navigate through such a large list every time I want to apply a category to a person. That is why I had hoped there was a way to install the program twice on one computer. Thanks for you help. Tom ----- Original Message ----- From: Linda F. I'm still not real clear on exactly what you want to do, but I don't think it sounds like you really need multiple installations of Outlook Just go to File>New>Personal Folders File (or Outlook Data File if you use Outlook 2002) and you can make as many psts as you want...inside these psts, just add a new address book (right click on the new pst file and choose New Folder and use the dropdown to make it a Contacts folder) Does this give you what you want without multiple installations or am I completely off base? It is an easy thing to create multiple people-oriented databases, and they can be sorted and culled in a seemingly endless number of ways. ************************************************************* You are receiving this mail because you subscribed to mso@xxxxxxxxxxxxx or MicrosoftOffice@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To send mail to the group, simply address it to mso@xxxxxxxxxxxxx To Unsubscribe from this group, send an email to mso-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the word "unsubscribe" (without the quotes) in the subject line.
