Read this, Michele...it tells what you need to have on your server in order
for FrontPage's passwords to work"

Or, I have user names and passwords set up to access my ebook downloads once
someone buys them, but I use a little third party piece of
software....here's how it looks (it requires that jave be enabled):

If this is sufficient for your needs, the software I use is called CoffeCup
Password Wizard and it only costs $25...here's the info on that:

Hope this helps.

Subject: [mso] Securing Website for Browsing

I am creating a website in FP 2002 and want to allow browsing capability
only to selected people who will be given a username and password to
access the site. I opened it live and then went through the Tools menu,
Server option to set Permissions and thought I had it all set up, but
anyone can still access the site. Does anyone know how to do this
properly who could lend me a hand to figure out what I've done wrong?

Thanks,

Michele B. Wong
