Hi Ray,

Yes Startup is the place for all GLOBAL add-ins (or you personal add-ins on
standalone machine) and if you check/uncheck them Word remembers this
behaviour.

It could simply because this is a very old add-in written around 97 time I
think. So it could be SectionManager.dot not your document necessarily.

With section breaks it is best to start at the end of your document and work
backwards (that's the way Word works) as all info is stored in the paragraph
marks - it makes working with long documents easier I find.

Well at least that's the way I like to work.

Subject: [mso] Re: Section Manager Macro in Word2002

Hi Janine,

Thank you for the help. SectionManager.dot was not selectable in the Add-ins

list, but I was able to browse for it. I found it in C:\Program
Files\Microsoft Office\Office\STARTUP\SectionManager.dot

As a side issue, please confirm that this is a good place to store templates

that should have global scope.

Alt-F8 did launch the SectionManager, and it did show a variety of
parameters
for each page as I selected them within the SectionManager window, but when
I
attempted to adjust the footer height on page 9 and I selected "From this
point forward", Word froze. I was able to move the SectionManager window but
I
could not exit from it.(Alt-F4 and the little "x" in the upper right corner
of
the SectionManager window were grayed out.) The only way I was able to
regain
control was to use Task Manager to exit Word. Have you encountered this
behavior of Word or of SectionManager? Can you suggest what I'm doing wrong?

Thanks again,

Ray Shapp
