Roger What version of windos do You have ? Dave ----- Original Message ----- From: "Roger" <rogerbid@xxxxxxxxx> To: <mso@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Tuesday, July 20, 2004 6:20 PM Subject: [mso] Search will not locate Outlook *.pst files Hi Everyone, Not so much a problem, more a matter of satisfying my curiosity! In a network of 8 PCs all running Windows XP Professional, I have suggested to everyone that they periodically locate and save (to the Server) their Outlook.pst files for use in the event of a total disaster with the own work station. All was well until one person was unable to find the file using the XP Search facility. The file exists in the normal location (Documents and settings>user>Local Settings>ApplicationData>Microsoft>Outlook) so can anyone explain why it could not be found? I have selected 'Show hidden files and folders' which I thought may have obstructed the search. (This particular PC is using Outlook 2002 SP2 and XP Service Pack 1). Thanks for any comments anyone may have, Roger _______________________________________________ No banners. No pop-ups. No kidding.
