Hi Folks,
I use Publisher 2003 at work. We are on a corporate network but Office is
installed locally. All printers are network attached.

I have a Publisher file that I have setup to use on an HP500 plotter using ANSI
D sized paper. The file is simply a template that lays out the margins and
centers data on the printed page. I save the template as a read only file.

If I take that same read only Publisher template and open it - and I check to
see that the HP500 plotter is still the selected printer - and then add data to
the page and save it using 'save as' the printer automatically changes to the
default office printer - not the plotter that it was initially set to use.

It is not a big problem resetting the printer to the plotter after the
Publisher file is finished but it seems I shouldn't have to do that.

I've tried this on multiple computers in the office so it doesn't appear to be
a fault on a specific computer (all XP Pro and up to date) but it keeps
happening no matter where I try to do the operation.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Yurt
