But when I open Publisher it opens Publisher 2003 and the about Publisher
option in help states that it is Publisher 2003 SP1

Ian, you will probably have to insert your Office CD and install the
Publisher option. It was probably overlooked when you originally installed
the rest of Office.

Both of my computers have got Microsoft Office 2003 installed. On my PC I
tried to download a template for publisher but received the message that my
computer does not have Publisher 2003 installed. That is not the case as it
is a part of Office 2003 and is very different to the 2000 version that was
installed previously.
On my laptop which also has a similar setup the template downloaded ok.
The PC had an earlier version of Office and was upgraded to Office XP and
then finally was upgraded to Office 2003. Any ideas where or how I can set
up my computer so that the Office site knows that I have Publisher 2003
installed.
All computers have got registered software that has been registered with
Microsoft.
Any suggestions would be gratefully received!!
