Thanks, Neil. It's our intention to move to 2003 within a year. That
should make our user quite happy.

TJ, Linda,

FWIW, Office 2003 beta 2 apps do this (using Word as the example):=3D20

From File > Open right clicking on a Doc file, choose Print. An error is
displayed saying this can't be done because a dialogue box is open. =3D
Clicking
on OK loads the document and prints it.

Right clicking on a doc file in explorer and choosing Print starts Word,
prints the document and closes Word again.

Regards

Hmmm...you are right...since I never print this way, I didn't actually =
=3D
try
it...that is weird...but, sorry I don't know why they disabled it...but
=3D
I
did find this....open the Open box, then click the file once just to =3D
select
it...then click on the button at the top of the Open box that says
"Tools"...you will see Print in that menu and that one works.

This is supposed to be progress? LOL

Hiya, Lin. Thanks for the response.

Yes, I see the print option in my Alt menu. But did you try it? I get
=3D
a
message saying 'The command you've selected isn't available in this =3D
shortcut
menu'. =3D3D20

This is a change from Office 2000.
