Hi, I use Office 2000 Premium, full installation with all file converters in the original CD's. I have not updated it to SP-1. Recently I had to send some Powerpoint presentations to a colleague of mine who's still using Office 97. When I save any Powerpoint 2000 presentation that contains graphics in the PP 95 or PP97 formats, I get an horrendous increase in file size; just as an example, a 458 Kb presentation goes up to 30MB size (all graphics in it are either BMP or .wmf except for a 131 Kb .jpg graphic which was 9.711 Kb in the original .bmp format). The same presentation, deleting the .jpg graphic, decreases only to 457 Kb in size in the Powerpoint 2000 original, but still goes up to 10.311Kb in PP 95 format. This effectively inviabilizes my colleague using the presentations. Is this a recognized bug in Office 2000 Powerpoint converters, would it be fixed if I update to SP-1, and if not, is there any workaround I could use? Any information would be much appreciated. Thanks.
