You are right: Flip only works with text. What I used was an emphasis
animation of spin and set the spin to 180 degrees counterclockwise. I then
added a curve motion path that keeps the piece in place while it spins.

There is only one problem... I did it with a piece that looked the same top
to bottom as bottom to top. When I did it with the car, it ended up on it's
top. :)

So... Try this instead (this is a little tricky, so contact me off list if
you need me to send you a sample slide...)
1) Add your car.
2) Give it an exit animation of Wipe from left, medium
3) Copy and paste it so that you have a second car.
4) Select the second car and flip it (Draw--> Rotate or Flip--> Flip
Vertical)
5) Change the second car's animation to Appear with previous
6) Send the second car to the back.

Play your slide - it should get you where you want to go. (I still think
there might be a way to do it with just one car, but it isn't coming to me
right now.)

Thanks for your response Kathy. I do have it set up with two paths now and
it seems to be working OK. Question though, You say to set up the 'flip'
animation. However, it's greyed out for me when I'm trying to add that
effect to clipart. It is available though if I add the 'flip' to a
placeholder with text in it. Just curious if you're able to add the flip
effect to clipart. Thanks.
