Hi Ray, I am going to step back a step and explain some things: First, both Viewers need to be installed once they are downloaded. (If you are running PPT2003, it just needs to be installed. It came with Office.) If the Viewer isn't installed, PPT doesn't know it is there. Second, PPT 2002 only knows about the old Viewer. If you tell PnG to include the Viewer, it will ALWAYS try to find an installed copy of the old Viewer to include. If you don't have the old Viewer installed, it will prompt you to download it. Now, if you want to distribute a presentation created with XP (2002) but which uses the new Viewer, you need to do the following: 1) PnG without the Viewer 2) Unpack to an empty folder 3) Add the needed files for the new Viewer to the folder 4) Distribute the contents of the folder, either via a Zip, or removable media Echo Swinford has the full up process on her site. Where should I store the viewer so that the wizard knows it doesn't need to be downloaded anymore? I have tried putting the viewer into the same folder as the POWERPNT.EXE file: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office10 Using Office XP Pro and PowerPoint 2003 Viewer under XP Home SP3. I didn't initiate this thread, but it is quite useful. Thank you all.
