[mso] PowerPoint 2002: Inserted Movie File Location

I am inserting some .wmv movies into a powerpoint presentation. They are
located on my hard drive, and if I open the presentation on another
machine, it searches for the path of the movies on my hard drive. I can
move them to the project server to prevent this for some users, but for
those in the field, this will not help. Used the insert movies and sound
menu and set it to automatically play. When I tried inserting them as
object instead, the movie opened in a separate media player, which is not
desirable.

Is there any way I can embed the movies in the presentation so it does not
need to search for a path and any user can see them? If this is not
possible, I will just have to settle for pasting a few of the pictures on
the page instead of movie, as the most important thing is enabling remote
users to view the document without any connections to any home server.

I'm not a regular PowerPoint user and would appreciate any help, thank you,
Cathy
