along with these questions I will note that most people permit MS to put the
PST files where MS wants; that makes backup a bit of a chore;

if you just put the PST files in a folder called "Outlook" within "My
Documents"; it drastically simplifies life

backing up "My Documents" should be all you need to back up routinely
