Yes, Pam....Outlook has these settings and that's what's causing Rose's
problem....when you have it set to automatically send/receive mail, it
will try to do this when you first log on....and yes, there is a setting
to remember your password, but Rose obviously does not want to do
this.....the problem she is having would be identical in Outlook Express

Is there not a place in Outlook 2000 to set a schedule for checking your
mail like in Outlook Express? I've never used Outlook 2000, but I'm
curious.
It lets you set a schedule of either manually checking your e-mail or
letting it only check at start up or every so often. I also have it set
to
remember my password under the accounts section. Just curious.
