Sounds like you have a renegade AutoSignature? 

Go to Tools/Options/MailFormat and check what settings you have at the
bottom of that dialog under Signature.

When I reply to someone within an html email it always adds [Pam] to the
beginning of what I type.  Is there a way to turn this obnoxious feature
off?
