Hi James,
A similar problem sometimes also occurs with .oft files. The usual fix
is a Help - Detect and Repair on Outlook.=20
Maybe try a Detect and Repair on Outlook and see if that solves the
problem.=20

Subject: [mso] Opening MSG files
=20
I have a colleague in California who I attempt to assist from time to
time (frequently unsuccessfully).
She is using Outlook (2000 I think).
She saves emails as msg files.=20
However, when she double-clicks a msg file to open it, Outlook opens it
as an ATTACHMENT.=20
I'm guessing there is some setting somewhere.
Anyone have an idea?
