And along the same lines, we computer users (maybe not the top hacker expert level, but we know how to turn it on, install software, use the software for the most part), need to remember there are A LOT of users who are just beginning to use a computer. Someone told me she thought the RBG (really big grin) was my way of calling her a "real b**** and grumpy." She was insulted and said so verbally. It took me a few weeks to corner her long enough to get her to admit she didn't like being called an RBG. Then I told her RBG only means "really big grin." I was not about to ask what she thought LOL meant. |laughing| I agree, body language is almost all communication. I can look at my friend and he can tell what I am about to say and beat me to it. I don't use a lot of emoticons, face symbols, but I do try to convey my feeling in an email so it doesn't get taken the wrong way. It is SO easy to take things the wrong way especially when dealing with financial or legal matters in an email.
