If there were just buttons, or an input and just two buttons, it would
be a message box or input box, respectively. But what you describe would
be a custom dialog box or userform.

So as I said, you can learn a lot by reading the articles on the links I
gave you and my eBook will get you rolling big time with programming
custom VBA code in Word.

Good luck!

sorry if I confused you <BG>

i clicked on the button and a box comes up with the option to type
something and three buttons at the bottom of the box, which says copy,
fax, or draft and if you click on one it immediately watermarks the
document, copy, fax or
draft:))

The user want to know how the macro was done, Linda. But not seeing it,
it's impossible to tell for sure, although I'm assuming it's a userform
since there's mention of several options and only a userform would
provide that ability.

Is WHAT a user form or a combo box or a message box?

Your question is unclear to me.

Hi...i'm new to the group, self employed and work for solicitors most of
the time, and always trying to make my life easier in Word (even if they
dont!
LOL!)

Anyway, i am working somewhere at the moment where they have what i
presume to be a macro on the tool bar...when I fiddled (as i do) it came
up with a box with fax, copy, and draft...then the document was
watermarked which I liked!! Sooo ive been doing some digging and got
myself totally confused...i have created basis macros with a copy and a
draft and put the buttons on the toolbar....but is this a userform type
or a combo box or a message box? Any help would be greatly appreciated
:)) the computer techs at the workplace reckon its all a macro, but i
dont think so ...

I did find the userform lesson at mvp ..which i am still struggling
with..but it wont beat me...but i think i might be approaching this the
wrong way !
