[mso] Re: My email account being cloned - ? OT

What is curious is that I got identical emails to both my work and
personal email accounts on the same day, within minutes of each other -
I'm beginning to suspect my domain registration data (I've got about 30
domain names registered for various companies/sites) as it wouldn't be the
first time I've had something that could only have been harvested from
that source. Maybe I'll investigate creating a "dummy" email account just
for domain name management purposes and see if that makes a difference.

Thanks anyway - and also to Dian for her comments.

Anne

Hi Anne...unfortunately there's not much you can do about this. All email
accounts allow people to put anything they want in the "From" section, so
spammers are able to cloak their emails so they appear to be coming from
someone other than them. I am constantly getting emails from myself (that
I never sent) and I'm also constantly getting emails from ISPs telling me
they are blocking mail I sent becuz it contains viruses. Well, it ain't
true and ISPs SHOULD know how to check the header to see the actual sender
is not me, but they are just too lazy...and it REALLY ticks me off.
