It means KEEP WITH NEXT or KEEP TOGETHER is set to keep that line connected
to the next info.
Click in that line and click Format > Paragraph > Line and Page Breaks and
you'll see which one is set by the checkbox.

Hi Group,
I pressed the Show/Hide symbols icon (Ctrl + *) in a template, and I see a
little solid square symbol on a page. It must mean something like, "leave a
bunch of white space here". Under what topic in Help can I find a list of
these symbols and info about their proper usage?
