I would have to agree Linda, that it probably needs major cleaning. I
can't tell you how many hours I have spent, cleaning other people's
Word documents and a lot of it is overuse of section breaks. I've
seen a multitude of problems, not the least of which is what can
happen to your page numbering in a large document. My advice is
always to use a soft page break whenever possible, a hard page break
if you need to break somewhere specific and use section breaks
sparingly and only where absolutely necessary.
