Ann,
You can do a lot of this in your Report design. Bring in your quesry =
with the totals that you want. Create a report that shows all the data =
you want. Click on the Sorting and Grouping button. Add a header and =
footer for the name field. Add a calculated field to total your total =
hours, copy that formula down to the footer to get an overall total.=20
If you want to break it down to a single page per person, put a page =
break in the Name footer. This will also put your overall totals on =
their own page.
I know I kind of rushed through this, so if you have more questions, =
please feel free to ask.
Thank You,
James

Subject: access subtotals and totals
Hi all
I have set up a simple database with a data sheet with variables, =
persons id
no name , date, hours, rate
Have set up an overall query to calculate the total for each line of =
data in
the table
I have also set up individual queries to do the same but for each person
I have also set up a report which produces the information, name, date ,
total for that day , i.e. 1 line per entry in the table
What I would like to do is to add subtotal for each person in the report =
and
an overall total
I would also like to repeat the report but to produce separate pages for
each person,=20
I have searched the web and cannot find out how to do this- can anyone =
help
or point me in the right direction
