Subject: EXCEL query corrupted


hi have an excel file with several worksheets, i number the files incrementally 
nas i work in them.  I created about four new workbooks and lots of calcuations 
yesterday and saved the file under a new filename.
 
the problem i am having is that when i try to open the fiel, it opens one page 
only and it is total gibberish, leters, symbols and the occasional numner - 
totally useless
 
my wuestion is , is there any way to recover the file, or will i have to create 
the missing worksheets all over again
