Hello All, This started out to be a question, but as I was writing this, I found the solution, therefore, I offer it as a tip for anyone who may have a similar problem (and doesn't recognize the solution immediately). A scientist has submitted an article in a Word document for publication in our club's newsletter. I am reading it in Word2002. The top parts of numbers and capital letters in all his superscripts are truncated. For example, the horizontal "flag" at the top of the number "5" is missing. Capital "T" looks like a lower case "L" etc. For the most part, the article is in CG Times font style, and it also contains wingdings and symbols. It will be published in Arial. I can convert all the odd-ball characters to an Arial equivalent, but none of the font style or font size changes I made will eliminate the superscript truncation as described above. After experimentation, I discovered that he was using some weird line spacing. When I converted the whole document to single-space, all the superscripts (and subscripts) became fully visible. I hope this helps someone in future.
