Linda-

I had heard that Access 2002 databases are in a different format than Access
2000. You can open them in 2000 only after they are converted. Is that the
case?

Hi Jean

No...Outlook 2002 treats pst files very differently. Once you have converted
it to the 2002 format, you can't use it in 2000 again. What I do, is make a
copy of the 2000 one before I use that one in 2002, so I can still use the
original in 2000 if I decide I need to do that for some reason.

Outlook is the only program in Office where two different versions do NOT
play well together. Best to pick the version you like best and use that on
all machines if you are going to be sharing the pst files.

Subject: [mso] Exchanging pst files in Outlook 2000 & 2002

Hello,

I have a computer with Outlook 2000, which I use for the calendar
and tasks only. I've just bought a new computer with Outlook 2002.
I've successfully exported the pst files from the old computer to
the new one. My question is, now that I'm using 2002, can I export
these files back to the 2000 computer in order to keep it updated?

Thanks!
Jean
