If this is caused by a dll that is corrupted (I'm not sure this is the =
case)
... But, the dlls are repaired when you do Detect and Repair from =
Excel's
Help menu ... A reinstall will not do this, so try Detect and Repair.
Try that first ... But, if it doesn't work, maybe someone else knows why =
the
shade and borders are not working in Excel ... Are you sure it's broken =
in
all files or only in one particular file?=20

Subject: [mso] Excel DLL question
Hi guys, does anyone know the DLL that is used by Excel to provide the =
cell=20
shading patterns and fill function?=20
For some reason cell pattern shading and fill does not display, but it =
does=20
actually display during print preview and printing (using an existing =
file
with=20
shading and when attempting to do shading on a new spreadsheet). Even =
the=20
border lines that should display on certain menu items don't show. I'm
thinking=20
that a DLL is probably corrupt and want to check it out.
Failing that, I will attempt a reinstall to try to repair it
