Hi all, How is Excel 97 auto-executing 3rd party add-on's - is it reading an autoexec type file somewhere that I can edit, or is there some way I can change this? I have a couple of instances where this would be helpful. 1. I'd installed AVP (an antivirus package) and "OfficeGuard" was one of the features - whenever you launched an Office component, it would load up the virus checker. Now that I've uninstalled AVP, it still looks for that virus checker. 2. I have inherited an office computer that has a program which imports information from our accounting package. It is automatically loading whenever I start up Excel. I don't see any way of turning it off from the program's options.
