I guess I missed the original question. I have Office 97 on my Windows XP machine here at home (along with every other version!); no significant issues. Data labels, chart title boxes, axis titles--all those things you can add to a chart using Chart/Chart Options--aren't adjustable in Excel charts in any version that I'm aware. If you turn on the drawing toolbar (View/Toolbars/Drawing) and use the textbox command there, though, those textboxes are adjustable. If you're seeing other problems, please give us examples.
