Not sure quite what you are meaning by "Line Break". It may not be the same
as my definition.

If you mean a break input with Alt-Enter, then just put your cursor on the
first word of the second line and hit the backspace key - then the space key
(assuming you want a space between the two words).

However, Excel might still do an auto line wrap.

If you want to stop Excel doing a line wrap, go to the cell formatting and
uncheck the wrap checkbox. (But first make sure you don't have any
Alt-Enter breaks in the cell.)

Also make sure you don't have an Alt-Enter at the end of the contents of the
cell. Just edit the cell and right-arrow until the cursor stops moving. If
it's on a line by itself, hit backspace to remove the trailing Alt-Enter.

If you are using copy/paste to bring text into a cell from a text file, then
carriage returns in the text file will become Alt-Enter breaks in the cell.
