[mso] Disappearing Outlook View

Hi All,
I sometimes find it easier to access my work files from Outlook. These include
mostly Word files and a few Excel and others.
But the view I set, which includes only the Icon, Name and Date Modified, never
stays. If I close out of that part of the computer to view, say, my calendar,
then when I go back to my files the view is the default.
Why won't it retain the view I set?
