Excel 2007 does have advanced filter; it's under Data->Filter->Advanced filter. If you follow my earlier suggestion " If you can add a column to the sheet, create a third column, for example column C, where you put the formula = A1&B1 down the column, and you would get Column A Colum B Column C Ind01 India Ind01India Ind02 India Ind02India Usa01 USA Usa01USA Ind01 India Ind01India" you can filter Column C to show only unique values, then you'll have all unique appearances of the word "India" concatenated with another value grouped together on the filtered column. Then, the easiest way to count them would probably be to use a Pivot Table.
