I don't have time to check them all out, but a quick google on something
like 'sample access address contact database' brings alot of results, and
I know the UtterAccess code archive has a sample. I know they're out
there, I bumped into many in the past and adapted the microsoft sample.
UtterAccess: http://www.utteraccess.com/, do an advanced search and select
the code archive
Microsoft: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/templates/TC010185811033.aspx
Regarding the Outlook compatible part of it, we don't use Outlook, so I
don't have any experience there, but whatever the import format is, once
you've got the data in Access, you should be able to build a query that
matches what Outlook needs. Hopefully someone will be able to give you
some direction on that piece of it, but, having done this several years
ago, I do remember there were many nice samples out there, I just went
with one that was ready to go with minimal customization at the time.
Like David says about exporting from Outlook to Access, doing the export
he mentioned should show you what you need to build the import query from
Access, and what fields it wants. If the sample database you find has
different field names, etc., that should be easy to remedy in the query,
where you can format and modify the data to suit Outlook. Hope this
helps.

This is going to be used for data entry by unsophisticated people so I'd
like to have a UI that clear and not prone to error. A naked Access file
wouldn't work at all.
