<<DANG it. I forgot to change the header! The previous post should have read: Clearing clipboard error in Excel XP.>> so, Robert...why didn't you put the correct subject on THIS one? You now have two posts that won't be noticed by people who scan for Excel questions....so I've changed the subject for you, and included your problem in this post, which maybe someone who knows Excel will read. Anyway...did you try running a Detect and Repair in Excel? Also....why don't you just create new emails when you have a new thread, instead of clearing the text out of an old message? You do know what you are doing TOTALLY messes up the archives and digest, right? (cuz they read the message header, not the subject line)...what you are doing makes it impossible for the archives and digest to detect that this is a new thread. Just open a new blank email and address it to mso@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Better yet, put that address in your address book. _______________________ Robert's original email: ___________________ This inquiry may not be a true MSO inquiry, but I honestly am not sure where to else start. It +only+ occurs in Excel, so I thought I would start here. In Excel, after I make +more+ than two cut-n-pastes or more than two -copy-n-pastes, I get this error. Cannot perform function because clipboard could not be cleared. HUH?!?? Welll, ok, but what the {blank} do I do to correct? If it helps, my copy was 4 columns wide, and 37,019 rows deep. I have 4 gig of memory. It does not occur in Access, PowerPoint, Lotus, Word, any genealogy program, browsers, etc. that I know of so far. Just Excel.
