Sorry, too afraid to do that. The thing is, though, I can't delete the autonumber field, because it is the one that connects the donations with the donors. If I lost that autonumber I'd have 200 donors worth of donations over 3 years with no way of knowing which donation went with which donor. I'm not entirely sure that that would work, because my memory is that Access was telling me that I couldn't change anything into an autonumber if anything had been filled in in the sheet ANYWHERE not just in that field. Kathie -- Katherine Driskell Felts, Executive Director Blooming Prairie Center Deep Roots, Bright Futures, Unlimited Horizons Found something that may help. To reset the autonumber with the records in them delete the autonumber field and add it back. Also, be sure to compact and repair the database. hth, Cathy ************************************************************* You are receiving this mail because you subscribed to mso@xxxxxxxxxxxxx or MicrosoftOffice@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To send mail to the group, simply address it to mso@xxxxxxxxxxxxx To Unsubscribe from this group, send an email to mso-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the word "unsubscribe" (without the quotes) in the subject line.
