OH!! So, you are saying that you put a 75k jpg in there and the database blew up to 10MB? Wow...that IS weird. Did you insert it as an OLE object? That's how I always put graphics in Access DB's and they don't blow up like this....that's why I asked "HOW" you were inserting it.
