Why are you using a bmp? Bmps are huge. Why not convert the bmp to a gif or jpeg before you add it to the database? Where are you putting it? In you forms? Reports? How are you adding it? The file size was 75k as a jpeg and 4.5 megs as a bmp.. I tried linking and importing. Result was similar in that the database grew alarmingly. Any ideas on how to do it right? It happened using both versions of Access and on machines running Win 95 and Win 2000 Pro TIA Cheers Stephen Doyle ************************************************************* You are receiving this mail because you subscribed to mso@xxxxxxxxxxxxx or MicrosoftOffice@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To send mail to the group, simply address it to mso@xxxxxxxxxxxxx To Unsubscribe from this group, send an email to mso-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?Subject=unsubscribe Or, visit the group's homepage and use the dropdown menu.
