Ok. Try this the: Reapply the slide layout. Bring up the slide layout task
pane, select the slides, right click the slide layout and select "Re-apply
layout".

Kathy.

Thank you for your suggestions but they did not work. I have only one slide
master. I unticked the autoformat boxes as you suggested and that did not
help. I have the text set to 24 in the master and when I type new text it
still stays at 20 even though it is only a few letters. I am not sure when
the problem started but I just noticed it this morning. As I said earlier
changing the master used to do the trick but no more. I changed the
background color and that worked though. I also changed the text color and
that changed the slides also. I am using PP 2002 SP3.
