John, if you are purchasing a new phone from a retailer, they may have already
upgraded the phone to iOS 8.1 one. If you're buying it from an individual they
also may have done the same thing. I think the 5S is okay as far as the
upgrades are concerned however I have heard that the five does not function as
well with the most recent operating system for iOS friend Olverz
