US Mountain Standard Time Subj: Kitt Peak Ascent - June 18, 2011 To our loyal uphill running enthusiasts, We would like to take an opportunity to share the next big race coming to the uphill running community: The Kitt Peak Ascent on Saturday, June 18, 2011. With 3250 ft. elevation gain over 10 miles, no downhill and a finishing elevation of 6875 ft., will you accept the challenge? The Kitt Peak Ascent is a moonlit run from the bottom to the top of the famous peak, home of the Kitt Peak National Observatory. We will offer 4 water-stops along the course and full transportation service from top to bottom. Spectators and bicycles ARE welcome on the course. Aside from the obvious bragging rights, finishers will receive a glow-in-the-dark tech shirt, bib, official time, a shuttle ride, food, fluids, medical support, gear check, glow stick and reflective vest (after 8:00p). We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the Tohono O'odham Nation for allowing us to host this event on their land and we will also offer free entries to all members of the Tohono O'odham tribe.
