I'm not getting the effect you are getting Suzy. I've used both the Mike at&t voice which comes with the disc copy of MT, and I changed to the Microsoft Sam voice. In both cases, when I tab to the date box or shift tab back to it, I hear Date. There is a slight difference that I am getting that you are not. When I do get to the date field, an immediate left press of arrow speaks nothing, the second left arrow press speaks the digit zero of the date 12/27/06. However, if I press the end key upon reaching the date field, the first press of the left arrow does read the digit six of the date. And yes, pressing home does take me to the beginning of the field.

I tried this with window eyes using sapi eloquence synthe. Only difference is Window Eyes identifies the type of control, like combo edit box, and it identifies the acceleerator key involved, for instance "Payee, P". or "Date, E".

I am having trouble reproducing this one. Which speech engine are you
using?

Good Morning,

I was using Money Talks in self voicing mode this morning and ran
across the
following issue in the latest beta build. If Shift+Tab is pressed in
any
dialog box, nothing is spoken. Navigation keys can be used to read the
information in the field, but the field name is never announced.

To reproduce, do this:

1. Open Money talks.
2. Turn on Self Voicing.
3. Press CTRL+T to begin a new transaction.
4. Press Tab until you pass the date field.
5. Press Shift+Tab to return to the Date field. Notice that nothing is
spoken.
6. Press Left Arrow. You should hear the number six spoken, since it is
the
last number in the current date.
7. Press Home; now you can read the date field using Right Arrow.

I tried this with several different dialogs in the program and the
results
were the same. If I did not know the program and standard Windows
dialogs as
well as I do, I would have trouble understanding what to do.

Suzy

Actually, when the beta expires, it will either revert to a demo of
the
currently installed beta or, if you are already a registered user,
nothing will happen. We do, however, recommend keeping up with the
latest beta if you are going to be running betas.

Hi Margaret,

All the executables will have the file name of mt_beta.exe. When they
are
run the appropriate beta is extracted and installed. The most current
beta
is 1.1.0.363 and it does what Rob indicated in the quoted section you
provided. If, like me, you can't use the additional feature, then it
still
might be a good idea to download the 1.1.0.363 beta. I believe each
beta
has a built-in time expiration. After a certain date, not indicated,
the
beta will automatically revert back to the 1.1 last full release. If
you
install 1.1.0.363, you should delay this date. I suspect APH will put
out
another beta, if necessary, to make sure the betas running out there
won't
expire before the final release. And as you know you can find the
current
version you are running under help then about. Download the most
recent
release under help then update, or whatever it's called.

Cheers,
Steve

Good Afternoon,

What is the version number for this new Beta? I'm running
version
1.1.0.360 which I thought I downloaded before this announcement was
posted, but I just went to the Beta page to try to get the latest
Beta
and the file name is listed as

mt_beta.exe

which is the same file name as that of the last Beta I downloaded.

   Thanks,

Margaret

There is a new beta version of Money Talks available. This version
allows printing of category and subcategory info.
