I used to go to the Clark Kincaid works in the UK where large engines (12 cyl 36" bore) engines were built. Once tested they were broken down into components and shipped out the (large) door. The block was broken down into one cylinder blocks. Indeed they just built it with as many of these 'block modules' to build the engine specified by the customer. That's the way it was done at CK anyway Rgds Paul Paul Sherriff Senior Engineer HITACHI DATA SYSTEMS 6220 Bishops Court, Birmingham Business Park Birmingham, West Midlands B37 7YB Tel: +44 121 717 4031/ Mobile +44 7860 564710 paul.sherriff@xxxxxxx -------------------------- Sent from my BlackBerry Wireless Handheld -----Original Message----- From: modeleng-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx <modeleng-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: modeleng@xxxxxxxxxxxxx <modeleng@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Thu Dec 16 09:11:01 2004 Subject: [modeleng] Re: My latest model .... >> ----- Original Message ----- >> From: "Roger" >> To: >> Sent: Wednesday, December 15, 2004 4:38 PM >> Subject: [modeleng] Re: My latest model .... >> >> >> Hi, >> >> How do they get it out of the factory? >> >> >> Cheers, >> >> >> Roger Mason, in St. Agnes.
